The mission of the Indonesia Australia Business Council is
to provide a convivial networking organisation for companies,
organisations and business people
of all nationalities involved
or interested in business between Indonesia and
Australia.
Events/Functions
To provide maximum networking opportunity and to communicate
business and investment opportunities both in Indonesia and
Australia to members, the
IABC organizes the following regular

information session on relevant topics

The IABC publishes regular newsletter which provides relevant
and useful information
related to doing business in Indonesia.
The newsletter is distributed
free of charge to all
members. The
IABC also publishes the Membership Directory (updated
every few
years) which lists all members and information about their
business.
The Directory is
distributed to members and to offices
of chambers of commerce and industry
in
Indonesia, Australia and
the South East Asia region.
Representation and Advocacy
The IABC serves as a lobby group to further business
interests of members, and serves
as a consultative body to
governments, industrial sectors and the
chambers of
commerce and
industry. The IABC represents its members’ interests at
high
level
meetings with Indonesian and Australian Governments and
through
Indonesian
Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
More recently, the IABC together with KADIN Indonesia,
Apindo,
Australian Chamber of
Commerce and Industry (ACCI), AIG
and AIBC were again entrusted by the
two
governments in the
Indonesia-Australia Business Partnership Group (IA-BPG)
Phase
II,
which has produced a private sector position paper in August
2016
for the Governments
to use as a reference in their
negotiations on Indonesia
Australia Comprehensive
Economic
Partnership Agreement (IA-CEPA).
Branches
The IABC has formal branches in Bali, East Java (Surabaya),
Central
Java (Semarang),
Yogyakarta and in Jakarta. Members can
attend events organized by IABC
branches at
the member’s rate.
Reciprocal and Other Benefits
Members can enjoy reciprocal benefits when attending events
organized by AIBC in
Australia, as well as events organized by
participating AustChams in the
South East Asia
region. Other
benefits are also offered to members from time to time
from our
partners.
